Enviromental Tourism Award
The Ocean Blue 2010 Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards for Excellence was held on Saturday 16th October at The Bayswater Hotel, Hervey Bay. According to Anne Niota, Chairman of FCSB Tourism, 'outstanding contributions made by businesses and individuals in the tourism industry are recognised and duly awarded' at the Tourism Awards.
Managing Director Peter Gash from Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort was
delighted to accept the award for Environmental Tourism. The Environmental Tourism category is for recognition of best practice eco tourism operators that demonstrate mutually beneficial relationships between tourism and our natural and environmental heritage.
Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort also took out the Chairman's Award for Best Submission, this award is presented at the Judge's discretion to the Best Presented Submission received.
