First nesting turtle of the season
The first nesting turtle to be seen this season, was spotted coming up on the high tide at Coral Gardens, north western side of the Great Barrier Reef Island of Lady Elliot. This morning at 5:00 am the first photographs were taken of this marvel at daybreak. The baby turtles are expected to hatch anywhere from the last week of December to the first week of January. Fantastic. Watch this site for news as to whether we have Christmas hatchlings or New Year babies.
