Lady Elliot lures local day trippers

Residents and tourists alike can now enjoy the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef in one day with Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort announcing day trips from Gladstone to the coral cay.

Along with the substantial facelift courtesy of new operators Grant Kenny, Peter Gash and Michael Kyle; Seair is now operating day and overnight trips to Lady Elliot Island departing Thursdays to Mondays from Gladstone airport.

Lady Elliot Island Sales and Marketing Manager Vicki Mullins said the team from Eco Resort and Seair are exited to be able to offer their new service.

"A day trip includes return scenic flights and allows visitors six to seven hours to explore the island and the Great Barrier Reef.

“They also have the opportunity to enjoy a guided reef walk at low tide (depending on tides), a glass bottom boat tour, fish feeding, snorkelling and more.

“We supply a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch and they have the use of al day guest facilities, including the pool, towels, showers and lockers,” Ms Mullins said.

To book your day trip to Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, Phone 1800 072 200, email reservations@ladyelliot.com.au or call into Gladstone Area promotion and Development Ltd at the Gladstone Marina Information Centre.
