Once again we awoke to an absolutely beautiful day in paradise, birds chirping, whales singing and Manta Rays gliding gracefully through the ocean.
Glassbottom boaters in the morning came across beautiful little Green turtles popping their heads up alongside the boat. They stayed near the boat for snorkelers to get a good glimpse of them when they jumped in, along with a big school of Scissor-Tail Fusiliers, who stayed in a nice tight group the entire time snorkelers were in the water.
Afternoon Reefwalkers came across an Anemone sticking out of the coral as they wandered through the Lagoon at low tide. On top of the coral sat a Blue Linckia sea star, wrapping its long blue legs through the coral. Also spotted in the same area was a bright red hermit crab in a round Tun shell scuttling across the sandy bottom into the covered depths of the coral. When shown to guests, he poked his head out for a quick look before disappearing back into his shell and not venturing out again.
Island discoverers in the afternoon stopped to watch the tiny little Buff-Banded Rail chicks being fed by their parents. The gorgeous chicks would run between their parents in the hope that one of them would produce a bug first, then they would proceed to share it with the other chicks. So incredible to see a whole little family unit working together!
The sunset was absolutely magnificent and enjoyed by most guests. Congratulations to Chris Titley and Rachael Smith who became engaged at the Lighthouse beach this afternoon at sunset. We hope you enjoy your life together!!
