The year of my seventieth birthday

I wanted some special experience to kick off the year of my seventieth birthday. I rejected offers of overseas trips, lavish dinners at fancy restaraunts. I wanted some memory I could hug as a celebration of this big event in my life. I found it on Lady Elliot Island when I participated in releasing four turtle hatchlings into the sea. We made a tunnel by spreading our legs and guided the little turtles with our torches to their life at sea. As the last hatchling was picked up by the waves, I wiped my tears and thought wow what a way to kick off my seventieth birthday celebration. Thanks to Nicki,Courtney and Chloe for making this such a thrilling experience. Sorry no photos, just fond memories.
