Living the dream!
I first discovered Lady Elliot Island in 2003, when we fist thought about emigrating to Australia. It took us until 2007 to make it to Oz and a few more years to forfill my dream of holidaying on the Great Barrier Reef. Last week we made it though. It is everything you could imagine and more. It is beautiful, peaceful, except for the birds....ear plugs provided! Safe for the kids, the staff were friendly, and very helpful, even those who were there on their days off.The reef is pristine, the marine life varied and fantatsic. the turtles really do like having their back scratched, and to swim with 6 black tip reef sharks was out of this world. It was our holiday of a lifetime, but one that we will do over and over again. We will miss everyone on the island. Thank you !
