Shark Scare

For years I have wanted to swim with the sharks, I wanted to go in a cage and swim with GREAT WHITES! Last weekend I decided I'm definatly not brave enough to swim with a great white. I was snorkling in the Lagoon all by myself when I spotted a very small Black Tip Reef Shark go by and I thought to myself OMG I'm so brave I'm swimming near a shark this is so cool. Then about 5 minutes late I was scratching a turtles back when I realised I had a Black Tip Reef Shark (which was twice the size of the first) one right beside me.....I nearly walked on water to get me the hell out of there! Although I was terrified I absolutly loved it. I went running upto the staff at the bar to share my excitment and showed them the photo I took of both sharks. I know I will never be brave enough to swim with the Great White Sharks but I will definatly be returning to Lady Elliot Island to experience that little thrill again!
