Can't wait to return!

As the host of 'The Great South East' a television show focussed on Queensland travel destinations, rarely have I stayed in a location which exceeded my expectations as much as Lady Elliot Island.

We chose the island for a recent family holiday, the photos and videos I had seen could not match the actual immense natural untarnished beauty and the rich vibrant colours of the reef and marine life which we all miss in our daily lives. The ECO resort is clean and comfortable.

Importantly, everything about the experience was easy and low-key: from the brief flight across to the island to snorkelling in the calm coral lagoon barely 10 metres from our room.

As the parent of 3 active kids, I will never forget the looks on their faces on their first scuba experience diving in crystal clear water with manta & bull rays, sharks of different types, friendly turtles and more fish than we thought imaginable. All our children are now excited to become PADI certified as a short term goal and the Island caters for all levels of abilities and experience from the novice through to the expert navigating caves and night dives.

Watching the sunset over the lagoon as our children snorkelled with the playful turtles is an experience that we'd recommend for all families.

We can't wait to return to Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort and congratulate Peter, Julie, Graham and their Team for an extraordinary experience in a perfect location.
