Lady Elliot Island - WOW!
A Lady Elliot Island stay has been highlighted by us as our best holiday experience ever. We chose to visit the island to include Christmas and WOW what a decision. Having departed Western Australia in April 2008 on a motor home journey to see Australia, and being away from family and friends, we were looking for a fun place to be for the festive season. Christmas Eve and Christmas day were so very special thanks to the very hard working team looking after us. On this occasion and in fact during our stay on Lady Elliot Island we felt part of a family. From the time we arrived on "The Lady" until we departed (we stayed 5 nights); we were entertained by staff and we met many people from all over the world; we were attended to by chefs of the highest standard; we were informed of the secrets of the island and surrounding waters by environmental and wildlife experts; and we were absolutely astounded by the pristine waters and all that was above and beneath the surface. We have previously visted other parts of the Barrier Reef but to snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Lady Elliot Island where coral reef and fish life abounds was supurb to say the least. Little did we know we would find a paradise island which offered so much at such an affordable price. We will definitely be making return visits.
