Lady Elliot Honeymoon
August 1992, with the first sitting of Lady Elliot Island as we flew in, we knew we were in paradise. Blue water, whales breaching and sea turtles abound. The beauty and calmness of the island was instant. The greeting and friendliness of the staff has never been forgotten. From our accommodation we could see a small group of reef sharks circling in the shallows." So much wildlife" The diving was sensational a note in my dive log from the first dive read. 17/8/1991 water temp 21 deg air temp 24deg, Bottom time 50min @ 13 mtrs, 30 mtr viz. Greeted by a Potato cod, shortly followed by a Manta ray with its own group remora. We were amazed at the amount of colours and range of corals and fish. We loved LEI and are looking forward to visiting again and showing the Island to our twelve year old twin boys.
