Our day trip to paradise
On Friday, 10th July/09 -- my husband and I went on a day trip/an adventure of a lifetime for us. We had been holidaying in Hervey Bay, our first week-long getaway from the house and kids in 8 years. We had been through enormous challenges in recent years with our daughters autism and my fight with Lymphoma. So, the holiday was just awesome and the day trip to Lady Elliot, at the end of our time away, topped it all off. We felt it was worth the investment. The plane trip there and back was wonderful and stepping off the plane feeling the crunch, crunch of coral under your feet, and shells all over the island....makes you feel you are in a special place where time has gone on forever. It was a very windy day and not the best conditions, but we still loved being there. The activities, the lunch, friendly staff and location was superb.
