We had heard a lot about the natural wonders of Lady Elliot island, and we were totally overwhelmed when we finally got to enjoy the most fabulous family holiday we have ever had together. The sign onthe front door of the Restaurant says "Welcome to Paradise" - ITS SIMPLY TRUE!! It is Paradise, and you are always made to feel welcome. Our two daughters (5 and 9) swam and patted green turtles nearly every time they waded into the warm waters, straight off the beach, of the front lagoon. To be able to simply flop into a warm water wonderland with a myriad of tropical fish and other marine life just a metre away from you at any given time and on every breath, blew us all away. Wayne, Danielle, Nick and David are the front men and women, for a wonderful wider team on the island - Danielle ran the Reef Rangers program, which (and who) our girls simply adored. The food was plentiful and delicious at every meal. We stayed in two levels of accomodation on offer,over the five days, and we loved both styles. From the time you spot this little island from the air, to the the time it disappears out of sight behind you when you leave, the outside world is but a forgotten memory. We have all agreed that return visits to LEI are a must, not a consideration. We look forward to visiting at different times of the year, to witness other aspects of mother natures calander that take lace on Lady Elliot Island. Were coming back next time to see the turtle hatchlings and Mantas. Oh, and seeing the sun rise and set over the sea on the same day is a real treat, just like the yummy desserts for dinner!! Our lives have been delightfully enriched by our 5 days in Paradise.
