Great Location, Excellent Staff, Awesome Reef, Magic Holiday!!
Would I come back here ?? NO DOUBT !! This was our 1st visit to L.E. and we can't wait to return. We've travelled to many different places in the Pacific and Australia (including Heron Island 4 times and Wilson Island on our last visit) so we had a fair idea what to expect regarding birds nesting etc. The reef around L.E is superb , much better than Heron and easier to access. We found the overall staff attitude and helpfulness superior to most top class places we've visited in Oz and on par, if not better than some of the better Pacific resorts. The breakfast and dinner selections were up to our expectations, plenty of variety and considering everything has to be flown in , very good quality and freshness. Lunch is great !! either have a snack ordered at the bar or have the buffet lunch, sitting at the front of the bar and checking out the reef whilst sipping a cocktail is hard to beat. Accommodation is clean and attended to every day, not an easy task considering thousand of birds nesting all over the place. But we found first and foremost the staff were great and I praise the management on their selection. Can't wait to get back !!!!
