Best Holiday Ever
My husband, my two boys aged 7 and 5 and myself have recently been on a 5 night holiday to LEI. It was a fantastic holiday. Our very comfortable accommodation was in the two bedroom unit which was right on the lagoon. As first time snorkelers, we found the snorkeling amazing. My son and i got to tickle a turtle whilst snorkeling in the lagoon as well as seeing the great and diverse amount of underwater sea life, right on our doorstep. Whilst there we also bravely ventured out (only after shaming myself into it once the amazing 93 yr old Pat from Sydney decided she was going in!!) from the Lighthouse beach and snorkeled off the boat, where we saw the graceful manta rays, turtles and large schools of colorful fish around the drop off area. From the very helpful staff (with special mentions to Nikki, Nicole and Goldie the Manager - we had a minor dilemma with some of my sons medication which was not brought with us - who arranged and organised for it to be brought over from the mainland with minimal fuss from what must have been a major bit of organising!) to the great food and atmosphere, the other people we met whilst we were there sharing stories of what we saw that day whilst having a sundowner at the bar, to the lovely pilot who let my son be co-pilot and sit up front in the plane whilst we circled the whales down below in Harvey Bay, to the stories of the history which enchanted by boys (they are still asking if the ghost of Suzannah can travel over water from the island!!) - it was an amazing memorable, educational, fun and exciting trip!! We cant wait to get back! Tara Williams
